We’re Hiring: Marketing Assistant

StarSocial is growing its team! We’re looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing Assistant to join us on a casual, part-time basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in digital marketing, social media, content creation, and graphic design who wants hands-on experience working with a growing local business and creative studio.

Location

Cranbrook, BC / surrounding area preferred

Hybrid position with approximately 1–2 in-person days per week at our studio in Cranbrook. Some work can be completed remotely.

Remote applications will still be considered.

Hours

- Casual, part-time position
- Approximately 5 hours/week to start
- Hours provided on an as-needed basis
- Flexible scheduling
- Opportunity to grow into more hours and a larger role as StarSocial grows and depending on fit

What You’ll Be Doing

- Light photo/video editing and graphic design
- Researching social media trends, sounds, and content ideas
- Assisting with captions, content planning, and scheduling
- Supporting social media and digital marketing projects
- Assisting with StarStudio events, creative shoots, and activations
- Helping with content days, behind-the-scenes content, and studio setup
- Assisting with general marketing projects and day-to-day creative tasks

Because we’re a small and growing business,



the role will be wide-ranging and there will be opportunities to get involved in different projects based on your interests and strengths.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Creative, organized, and reliable
- Comfortable juggling a variety of tasks
- Familiar with Instagram and TikTok
- Interested in social media and current trends
- Comfortable learning new software and platforms
- Able to work independently and take direction
- Eager to learn and gain real-world marketing experience

Education, enrollment in a related program, or previous marketing experience is a major asset, but not required.

Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, social media management, content creation, graphic design, or photography/videography is also an asset.

Portfolio A portfolio or work samples are appreciated but not required. Feel free to include social media content, graphics, videos, school projects, or personal creative work that shows off your skills.
