About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and practical Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Kimberley . This role is integral to conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative mechanical products and systems that meet market demands and technical specifications. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers and designers, contributing to the entire product lifecycle from initial ideation to final production. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software .
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Perform basic stress and thermal analysis to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).




- Assist in the testing and validation of prototypes and new product designs.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and problem-solving initiatives within the engineering department.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software , such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar.
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and general mechanical principles.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
