About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and practical Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Kimberley . This role is integral to conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative mechanical products and systems that meet market demands and technical specifications. Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software . Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Perform basic stress and thermal analysis to validate design concepts.

Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).



Assist in the testing and validation of prototypes and new product designs. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and problem-solving initiatives within the engineering department.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development. Proficiency in CAD software , such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar. Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and general mechanical principles. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities. Benefits
