Role Description:

We’re looking for a Medical Illustrator / Graphic Designer to contribute to the visual development of an early-stage digital health product.

The role will involve creating straightforward, clear, contemporary medical illustrations, pictograms, and instructional graphics designed primarily for use within a mobile application.

The ideal candidate can take medical or clinical concepts and translate them into visuals that are straightforward, accurate, consistent, and easy to understand at a glance.

This will primarily be for a single project (contract) rather than an ongoing position, however, as further features are added to the tool, you may join our team for future graphical work.

What we’re looking for

- Strong illustration and graphic design skills
- Ability to communicate complex concepts visually and simplify them without losing important details
- Experience creating clean, modern vector-style illustrations, pictograms, icons, or instructional graphics
- Strong attention to detail and visual consistency




- Comfortable working from references, written instructions, clinical images, and feedback from physicians
- Ability to create assets optimized for mobile interfaces
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop, or similar software
- A portfolio demonstrating examples of illustrations or visual communication work

Preferred qualifications

- Background in medical illustration, biomedical visualization, anatomy, healthcare design, or scientific illustration is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, or clinical procedures
- Experience creating illustrations for healthcare, education, textbooks, digital health, or instructional content
- Experience building a scalable illustration system or visual design language for a product
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and how illustrations function within mobile applications
