Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic medical records systems, including Avaros, Oscar, etc.
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments accurately
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls to appropriate staff members or departments
- Maintain organized medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
- Support the family physician by coordinating patient flow and preparing examination rooms as needed
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Avaros, Oscar, etc.
- Robust knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals and patients
- Proven experience in front desk roles within healthcare settings
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills combined with administrative experience in office management or reception duties
- Diploma in Medical Office Administration is preferred or equivalent experience

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 per week
