Job Summary
Position Summary The Operations Coordinator supports Forsythe’s day-to-day operations across lubricant production scheduling, supply chain, inventory and logistics. This role works closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Shipping and Customer Service to ensure materials, production and customer orders are coordinated effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily and weekly production scheduling based on customer requirements, inventory and manufacturing capacity
- Assist in coordination of raw material and packaging requirements with upcoming production needs
- Monitor inventory levels and help identify shortages, excess inventory and replenishment requirements
- Assist in following up on purchase orders, supplier deliveries and incoming materials.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, customer pickups and warehouse transfers.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Shipping, Supply Chain and Customer Service to communicate priorities and changes.
- Monitor customer orders and production progress to help ensure lead times and delivery commitments are achieved.
- Identify scheduling, material, inventory or logistics issues before they impact production or customers.
- Maintain operational reports, schedules, inventory information and other planning tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling, inventory,
supply chain and logistics.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, production planning, logistics or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is an asset, with experience in SAP or similar ERP platforms also considered valuable.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with operational data.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills across different departments.
- Understanding of inventory management, purchasing, production scheduling and logistics.
- Ability to identify problems, prioritize requirements and work effectively in a rapid-paced environment.
- College diploma or university degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations or a related field is an asset.
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
