At Barrie Eyecare, we strive to provide our patients with all their optical needs in a friendly qualified way. Our optometrists provide thorough routine eye exams including dry eye treatments while having a modern optical gallery containing both high end and price conscious frames.
We are seeking an ambitious Optician/ Optical Frame and Lens Specialist to join our team for 30-35 hours per week.
The ideal candidate we are seeking:
- Has previous Optical experience in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of a variety of lens and frame options to best serve our patients needs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Is detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Have a professional and team focused attitude
- Willingness to learn of new products and technologies
- Familiarity and knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
- Reliable and Flexible with scheduling
Your role will be supporting our Optometrists in delivering high quality eyecare services and assisting our patients with solutions for their eyewear needs.
The duties in this role will include:
-assessing the needs of the patient and their individual optical solutions
-helping patients choose eyewear and lenses based on the doctor’s recommendations
-performing optical dispensing including calling patients and assisting with adjustments on pickups
-working alongside our team to provide patients with exceptional care
-providing patient care while ensuring customer satisfaction.
-administrative tasks such as receiving frames, optical supplies and answering phone calls in a courteous and friendly manner
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.
Pay: $20-$29
Schedule: day shifts including evening as well as Saturday mornings.
