We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Optometric Assistant to join our team at Eyecare On Wynford. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities

- Schedule appointments and manage front desk duties.
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
- Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history and verifying insurance information.
- Perform preliminary tests and screenings, such as visual acuity, and lens neutralization.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for optometrists.
- Process insurance claims.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Process orders for contact lenses.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.

Skills:
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in English with patients of all ages and ethnicities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Proficient in medical terminology related to optometry or ophthalmology.
- Proficient with computers,



including common software, spreadsheets, and websites.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.
