Prestiva Home Care Inc. is looking for a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to assist with a one-day Senior Health & Wellness Program on October 1, 2026, at the West St. Catharines Older Adult Centre.

The program will focus on basic health and wellness checks and fall-prevention Tips for older adults. The successful candidate will represent Prestiva Home Care in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner and help create a welcoming environment for seniors attending the program.

Date: October 1, 2026

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: West St. Catharines Older Adult Centre

Position: One-day, part-time event position

PSW Certificate: Mandatory

Responsibilities

- Assist with the senior health and wellness check-up program according to the event's established procedures.
- Assist with basic, non-invasive health checks/vital signs as assigned and within your training and scope of practice.
- Provide seniors with general fall-prevention tips and safety information.
- Communicate respectfully and compassionately with older adults.




- Assist seniors with navigating the event and provide general support as needed.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the program.
- Represent Prestiva Home Care Inc. professionally when interacting with participants and community members.
- Report any concerns or unusual observations to the appropriate program representative rather than providing a diagnosis or medical advice. Requirements
- PSW Certificate – Mandatory
- Experience working with seniors is an asset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled, friendly, and patient approach.
- Comfortable interacting with seniors in a community setting.
- Must be available for the full 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. shift on October 1, 2026.

Pay: $17.60-$17.90 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 per week
