Explore Inc. is looking for a Pipeline Integrity E.I.T. to join our Asset Integrity team.

The Pipeline Integrity E.I.T. provides technical and field support to Explore's Asset Integrity division and assists with a range of pipeline integrity and geohazard management activities. The role focuses on supporting pipeline integrity assessments, engineering assessments, risk management processes, data analysis, regulatory compliance, and pipeline integrity management programs.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with members of the Asset Integrity division, clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. The position will support the preparation of engineering assessments for pipeline reactivations, integrity assessments, failure responses, and associated repair recommendations, while also contributing to pipeline integrity and geohazard management programs.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and experience through co-op or summer employment in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with data analysis tools, managing multiple concurrent projects, working with minimum supervision, and providing technical and field support as required.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Integrity & Engineering Support

- Assist with ensuring pipeline integrity related issues are managed, and appropriate client support is provided.
- Assist in preparing engineering assessments for pipeline reactivations, integrity assessments, failure responses, and associated repair recommendations.
- Provide technical and field support for operational activities related to client Pipeline Operations & Maintenance Systems, Pipeline Integrity Management Programs, and risk management processes.
- Analyze pipeline integrity data to support recommendations for mitigating risks through periodic Pipeline Integrity Management Plan reviews.
- Evaluate integrity assessment results to identify the need for additional preventive maintenance.

Data, GIS & Risk Analysis

- Maintain, update and use data in GIS and Risk Analysis software.
- View and load validation data.
- Assess data anomalies and inconsistencies.
- Conduct assessments of pipelines and pipeline systems.
- Utilize computer software, Excel spreadsheets and data analysis tools to support project work.

Audits & Regulatory Compliance

- Execute audits of Pipeline Integrity Management Programs.
- Represent Explore as a technical specialist in discussions with regulatory authorities.
- Support compliance with provincial pipeline regulatory requirements.
- Communicate changes in pipeline legislation to internal stakeholders as required.
- Assist clients with regulatory compliance audit responses and meetings.

Geohazard Management Support

- Assist in preparing reporting for geohazard management programs related to slope stability concerns and low depth of cover on water crossings.

Project Support & Collaboration

- Manage multiple concurrent projects while communicating effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Work collaboratively with members of the Asset Integrity division.
- Work with minimum supervision while demonstrating a proactive approach to assigned responsibilities.
- Provide field support as required.

To Be Considered, You Will Need:

- A B.Sc.



in Engineering from an accredited university in a post-secondary engineering program.
- Co-op or summer employment experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience utilizing computer software, Excel spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, particularly pipeline production and operations, with an understanding of pipeline integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Awareness of safety compliance and adherence to company HSE standards.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a collaborative team environment.
- A proactive approach to performing job responsibilities.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to the field for periodic support as required.
- A valid driver's license.
