Position Overview

TheEquipment Operator will join the Public Works Department and report directly tothe Public Works Superintendent. The Equipment Operator will be part of a teamresponsible for the operation of heavy equipment including winter maintenance &snow; removal, the maintenance of roadways, sidewalks buildings & properties,collecting debris & garbage, assisting with the operations of water &wastewater; and general labour duties.

Theemployee may be required on an ongoing basis to attend applicable training,workshops,



seminars and courses at the discretion of the Employer in order tofacilitate job knowledge and performance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

- Minimum Grade12 or equivalent required
- Valid Provinceof Ontario Class DZ license
- Mechanicalaptitude
- Good publicrelations skills
- Ability to workwith minimal supervision
- Ontario WaterWastewater Certificates (or willingness
- Good oral andwritten communication skills including
- Health and Safety Regulations
- Basic computeroperating skills (Microsoft Office)
- Relatedexperience
