About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Contract Law Specialist to provide expert legal services focused on the drafting, negotiation, and management of commercial contracts. This role is essential for ensuring that all agreements entered into by the company are legally sound, commercially viable, and protect the organization's interests. You will work with various departments to understand their contractual needs and deliver high-quality, precise legal advice. Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, supply agreements, and licensing agreements.
- Advise business teams on contractual terms, risks, and compliance obligations.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks.
- Manage contract lifecycle, ensuring adherence to terms and identifying potential issues.




- Conduct legal research related to contract law and provide timely opinions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives.

Requirements

- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong emphasis on Contract Law .
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Deep understanding of South African contract law principles.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload in a remote work environment.
