About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Remote Marketing Operations Lead to build and scale their marketing operations function. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for managing the marketing technology stack, streamlining marketing processes, ensuring data integrity, and enabling the marketing team to operate efficiently and effectively. This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead a critical function within a forward-thinking company, driving operational excellence from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of the marketing technology stack (CRM, MAP, analytics tools).
- Develop and document marketing processes and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across marketing databases, implementing governance and cleansing protocols.
- Manage lead scoring, routing, and management processes to ensure seamless handover to sales.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track key marketing performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI.




- Train and support the marketing team on best practices for using marketing technologies and processes.
- Collaborate with IT and sales operations to ensure alignment and integration of systems.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, with a focus on technology and process optimization.
- Proven experience implementing and managing marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRMs (e.g., Salesforce).
- Robust understanding of data management, data hygiene, and CRM best practices.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
