Positions under his supervision: None The Resident attendant will ensure the personal laundry of residents and the well-being of residents in their living space.
Tasks
- Room service if required by resident’s health
- Distribution and recovery of trays
- Distribution or administration of medication to residents, as specifically instructed, in room or dining room
- Blood glucose test and insulin injections
- Laundry washing and folding
- Delivery to the resident
- Well-being of residents
- Help with clothing when getting up and going to bed
- Full or partial personal hygiene daily aid
- Empty garbage
- Bed changes as required
- Helps residents with reduced mobility to circulate
- Support for residents
- Distribution of snacks if health condition requires
- On call calls
- Priority response to on call calls (doorbell)
- And follow protocol
- Any other tasks that may be requested by management
Qualities required
- Level of education: qualified
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- French spoken: intermediate
- English spoken: beginner
- Be comfortable and love seniors’ clientele
- Ability to work in a team
- Be able to provide care under Bill 90
- Respond to customer emergencies
- Follow the guides and procedures required under the Government Certification of Seniors Residences
