About Our Client

Our client is a well‑established, skilled organization in Surrey seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide temporary administrative support. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized professional who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment and supporting a variety of administrative and member‑facing activities.

Location: Surrey, BC

Position Type: Temporary

Duration: ASAP to November 13, 2026, with possibility of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $30–$35 per hour

Responsibilities

- Respond to general inquiries and provide professional administrative support
- Provide excellent customer and member service
- Assist with the coordination and administration of events, workshops, and meetings
- Prepare and distribute mass communications using Mailchimp and Outlook
- Update and maintain website content using WordPress
- Create and edit materials using Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator
- Manage event‑related information through Eventbrite
- Perform general administrative tasks, including document preparation, data entry, correspondence, and record maintenance
- Use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for day‑to‑day administrative activities




- Maintain accurate records and ensure a high level of attention to detail
- Handle confidential information appropriately
- Support multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and as part of a team
- Provide additional administrative support as required

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of related administrative experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Hands‑on experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator, and Eventbrite
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines
- Strong customer service and problem‑solving skills
- Professional, welcoming, and service‑oriented approach
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Professionalism, integrity, flexibility, and a positive can‑do attitude
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
