Senior Bookkeeper – Remote Opportunity

Are you a confident, detail-driven bookkeeper who loves helping small business owners thrive? At ARC CPA, we're looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team; someone who's as comfortable managing their own client portfolio as they are mentoring the bookkeepers around them.

About the Role

You'll manage a portfolio of 8 to 15 small business clients year-round, delivering hands-on bookkeeping support while helping guide the broader team. It's a great fit for someone who wants both the independence of a remote role and the chance to take on more responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver full-cycle monthly bookkeeping and payroll for your client portfolio using QuickBooks Online (QBO), with support from your manager.
- Manage receivables and payables, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and government remittances.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Review and approve bookkeeping and sales tax reports prepared by other team members.
- Coach and mentor team members, supporting their growth and development.
- Build strong, lasting client relationships as a trusted member of the ARC bookkeeping team.

Required Education and Experience

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a bookkeeper, using QBO, Sage, or Xero.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and payroll cycles for small businesses.

Skills That Make You a Robust Candidate




- Bookkeeping or payroll certification (an asset).
- Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping for small businesses, including working alongside year-end accountants.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent digital organization skills; we're a fully paperless firm.
- Confident, self-motivated, and comfortable managing your own workload in a remote, work-from-home setting.
- Genuinely excited to work with small business owners across Canada.

Starting salary is $65,000CDN + Performance incentives as your book of business grows.
