About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Network Engineer to join their operations in Kimberley. This hybrid role is integral to maintaining and advancing the company's sophisticated telecommunications network, ensuring its stability, security, and high performance. You will be involved in the design, deployment, and management of complex network solutions, working both from the office and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure maximum uptime.

Manage network security policies, VPN configurations, and access control to protect network assets.

Collaborate with engineering teams on network upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.





Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams and configuration standards.

Provide Tier 3 technical support and guidance to junior network staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience.

Minimum of 7 years of hands‑on experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on telecom networks.

Expertise in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, and switching technologies.

Proven experience with network security best practices and implementation.

Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment.
