If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.## About the Role The Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Operations leads the operational and shared-services functions of the Ontario specialty pharmacy.

This role oversees pharmacy operations through the Operations Supervisor and Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, supporting teams responsible for inventory, prescription production, dispensing, quality checks, shipping, and delivery coordination. You will provide operational and people leadership while maintaining regulatory compliance, improving efficiency, managing financial performance, and supporting exceptional patient care. This is an opportunity for an experienced pharmacy leader to develop high-performing teams and strengthen the delivery of specialty pharmacy services. ## What You’ll D ## Lead, coach, and develop pharmacy operations leaders and their teams, establishing clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.

Oversee prescription production, dispensing workflows, quality checks, shipping, courier services, and inventory management.

Monitor operational performance using key performance indicators, service-level agreements, productivity measures, and financial results.





Manage pharmacy inventory activities, including monthly inventories, out-of-stock products, expired products, and slow-moving inventory.

Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures that support regulatory, quality, manufacturer, and SOX compliance.

Drive operational efficiency, cost containment, service quality, and continuous improvement across pharmacy operations.

Maintain accountability for dispensing revenue, margin, profitability, inventory costs, shipping costs, and other operational expenses.

Support talent acquisition, onboarding, training, employee development, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning.

Coordinate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions where required.

Resolve escalated patient and customer concerns while promoting a patient-focused service culture.

Partner with senior leadership, clinics, patient support programs, healthcare professionals, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Ensure pharmacy activities comply with applicable regulatory standards, company policies, and quality requirement ## Basic Requirements Degree or equivalent experience, with typically 9 or more years of professional experience and at least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.

Valid pharmacist licence in good standing with the applicable provincial College of Pharmacists.

Demonstrated experience leading pharmacy operations and people.

Experience managing operational performance,



including budgets, financial reports, KPIs, or service-level metrics.

Experience overseeing pharmacy compliance, dispensing operations, inventory, or quality processes. ## Preferred Skills/Experience Experience in specialty pharmacy, specialty medications, or a related healthcare environment.

Experience leading supervisors or other people leaders.

Knowledge of Kroll pharmacy management software.

Experience with prescription production, medication distribution, shipping, courier management, or vendor management.

Experience supporting internal or external audits and developing standard operating procedures.

Understanding of P&L; management, operational expenses, margins, and cost-containment strategies.

Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including tools used to analyze and present operational data.

Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Experience collaborating with clinics, physicians, patient support programs, manufacturers, and healthcare partners. ## Travel, Work Arrangement & Physical Requirements* This is an onsite position supporting the Winnipeg specialty pharmacy. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
