About the Role

Our client is a forward-thinking organization operating at the intersection of the Mining and Energy Sectors , seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will focus on optimizing the extraction and management of subsurface resources, applying advanced analytical techniques and modeling to maximize recovery and economic value. You will work independently, contributing expert insights and strategic recommendations from anywhere, playing a crucial role in shaping resource development strategies. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a remote setting and possesses deep expertise in reservoir characterization and performance prediction.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed reservoir models using advanced simulation software to predict reservoir performance under various development scenarios.
- Conduct reservoir characterization studies, integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data to understand reservoir heterogeneity and fluid flow.
- Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and volumetric assessments to estimate reserves and optimize production strategies.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) or improved gas recovery (IGR) techniques.
- Collaborate remotely with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers to ensure integrated reservoir management.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations,



and economic evaluations for management and stakeholders regarding reservoir potential and development plans.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering , with significant exposure to both conventional and unconventional resources in the Energy Sector .
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE) and proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization techniques, petrophysics, fluid properties, and rock mechanics.
- Proven ability to perform economic analysis and risk assessment for reservoir development projects.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote work environment .
