Our client has an immediate requirement for a
Senior UX Designer to lead UX research and journey mapping focused on improving complex digital experiences.
This is a hands-on senior practitioner role focused on understanding user behaviour, analyzing digital journeys, identifying pain points and opportunities, and translating research into clear recommendations for future content, design and implementation.
6-month full-time contract
Calgary preferred; remote considered
Travel may be required
Must Have
7+ years of professional experience in
UX Design, UX Research, Service Design or Experience Design
Strong experience leading
UX research and end-to-end journey mapping initiatives
Solid knowledge of research methods including interviews, surveys, usability testing and task-based research
3+ years of hands-on experience with
GA4 and web analytics , analyzing user behaviour, pathways, entry points and drop-offs
Experience working within complex digital ecosystems involving multiple websites, business units and stakeholder groups
Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with senior leadership
Strong ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into clear findings, journey maps and recommendations
Nice to Have
Experience in higher education, government or another public-sector environment
Experience with content strategy, information architecture or content design
Experience working within large, decentralized organizations with multiple content owners
Experience with
Figma, FigJam,
Miro or similar UX and collaboration tools
Responsibilties
Review existing research, analytics, user flows and documentation to establish a current-state understanding
Analyze user behaviour and digital pathways using
GA4 and other web analytics
Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative UX research
Develop end-to-end journey maps identifying behaviours, information needs, touchpoints, pain points and opportunities
Facilitate workshops and interviews with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts and senior stakeholders
Translate research and analytics into clear findings, presentations and actionable recommendations
Identify opportunities to improve content, navigation, functionality and transitions across digital experiences
