Position Description:

Tetranex is currently seeking a full-time SQS Coordinator to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll take the lead on quality activities across critical Engineering Procurement (EP) projects. As the designated SQS representative for your assigned projects, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, make decisions, solve quality challenges, and drive SQS and QA/QC activities through to successful resolution.





Responsibilities

- Serve as the lead SQS representative for assigned EP projects, taking complete ownership of all actions and decisions regarding SQS and QA/QC activities and project-specific scenarios.

- Execute and oversee surveillance processes, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), shop inspections, and witness/hold point verifications across multiple fabrication disciplines.

- Manage quality surveillance activities covering:

- • Module Fabrication

- Pipe Spooling

- Building Fabrication

- Electrical Assemblies & Components

- Codes & Standards Compliance: Ensure all vendor and supplier activities strictly adhere to project specifications, industry codes, regulations, and applicable quality standards.

- Conduct quality audits of supplier facilities and processes. Analyze QA/QC non-conformances, lead root-cause analysis, and make decisive quality determinations to resolve technical issues promptly.

- Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement, engineering teams, and external vendor quality teams to ensure alignment with overall project quality goals.

Requirements

- 10 years of progressive QA/QC and quality surveillance experience within an Engineering Procurement (EP) project environment.

- Valid Welding Inspection credential(s) and Quality Auditing credentials or training. CSA W178.2 Level II Welding Inspector certification or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is an asset.

- Advanced knowledge of industry codes,



regulatory standards, and quality management systems applicable to fabrication and manufacturing.

- Proven experience planning, executing, and documenting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and shop surveillance processes.

- Demonstrated track record as an SQS lead with full authority to make final quality decisions and manage complex project quality scenarios.

- Specialized inspection capabilities are an asset, including:

- • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and report review.

- Industrial Coatings inspection background.

- Deep experience reviewing and executing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
