We are a family residing in Alberta looking for someone to check in and spend time with my dad who is currently living in Aspen Village, Emerald Park and waiting to transfer from Saskatchewan to Alberta. Our ideal candidate will serve as a companion and ensure the personal care he is receiving is at an acceptable standard.

As a companion, you will visit my dad at the Aspen Care Home in Emerald Park 3 -4 times a week to check in on him to make sure he is being cared for properly and to spend time sitting with him or taking him to entertainment brought into the facility.

In terms of personal care, you will ensure that the staff in the care home is attending to his personal care needs and that he is receiving help to eat his meals. It is essential to us that our elder feels protected and supported in their care environment.





You will be reporting back to his family about the state of his care and any concerns you may have so that we can advocate for him from Alberta.

We are offering $25 -$30 hourly for this position. If you have experience in elder care and are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors, we would love to hear from you.
