Your Opportunity:

The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital (GRH), Alberta’s only specialized rehabilitation facility, is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Lead, Site Initiatives and Transformation. This role supports complex, high-impact initiatives that advance patient care, and operational excellence across the site. Working independently and collaboratively, the Lead anticipates needs, solves complex problems, and contributes to strategic and operational success. This role is accountable for the development and implementation of change projects associated with AHS strategic priorities, with a key component of the Hospital Based Leadership (HBL) model.

Description:

The position provides direction to various programs and departments and external partners to achieve identified goals, exhibits leadership in change development and evaluation and development of site-based strategies. Operationally leads Major Capital, Infrastructure Maintenance Program (IMP), and Site Specific Funding (SSF) in close partnership with Capital Management. Leads the development and implementation of the components of the strategic plan which involves input into identifying the strategic priorities for the site, and ensuring alignment with provincial initiatives in priority areas. Leads initiatives strategic initiatives related to HBL, including patient access, patient flow (including morning discharges), space optimization, service planning, accreditation, and scorecard reporting. Leads site functions integral to providing exceptional clinical care and advancing clinical expertise.



Works directly with patient advisors and clinicians. Provide leadership for equipment planning and lifecycle management, including capital equipment processes. Leads performance reporting. Conducts research, analysis, and benchmarking to support evidence-based decision-making. Collaborate with internal and external partners to support project goals and maintain positive stakeholder relationships. Communicate project progress and outcomes through reports, presentations, and briefing materials. Provide change management leadership to support adoption of improvements. Support strategic and business planning for short- and long-term needs. Co-leads educational supports for patients and caregivers.

Required Qualifications: Degree in a health care, management or business-related field (Master’s preferred). Active registration and good standing with the applicable regulatory college. Minimum 5 years recent healthcare experience in specialized rehabilitation. Minimum 5 years leadership, change management and project experience. Expertise in program planning, quality initiatives, and program evaluation. Strong analytical and data skills, including spreadsheet and database use. Excellent communication, organizational, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills. Please enter information in this field.

Additional Required Qualifications: Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands. Solid clinical judgment and ability to solve complex problems. Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across programs, committees, and provincial teams. Demonstrated change management, communication, and engagement skills. Experience preparing briefing notes, reports, and presentations. Experience with budget monitoring and capital equipment processes.

Preferred Qualifications: Rehabilitation environment experience. Knowledge of hospital operations/processes, process re-design, engagement and change management, project management, and quality improvement experience. Experience providing functional leadership to interdisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, outcomes focused.
