Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Temporary Full-time Material Handler for the Grease Packaging Department.

Job Duties

Ability and willingness to learn and apply new skills.

Set up and operate oil and grease packaging equipment; including manual tasks.

Operate a fork lift truck and bar code system.

Demonstrated willingness to accept responsibility and model behavioral standards in work practices.

Perform line change procedures and minor maintenance.

Familiarity with the SAP program, and ISO 14001 & ISO 9000 standards would be an asset

Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act; WHMIS; TDG.

Utilize production related computer systems.

Perform all job tasks as documented in department ISO Quality Procedure Manual.

Maintain effective communications with other production team members.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to process and quality improvements.

On going on-the-job training to keep skills and qualifications current.

Perform other duties that will be assigned.

Experience

Demonstrated safety focus, with an ability to understand and follow all safety and operational procedures and policies

Team player who also has the ability to work individually, managing multiple demands and competing priorities

Proactive problem-solver, but exercises quick and decisive action when issues ariseÂ

Mechanical aptitude and a proactive work ethic

Collaborative with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required

Required Skills

Demonstrated safety focus.

Strong communication skills: listens well, and expresses ideas and concerns clearly.

Mechanical aptitude required to perform hands-on operation of plant equipment.





Ability to understand and follow all quality and operational procedure/policies

Must be physically able to perform the core duties of the job.

Must be able to work a variety of schedules.

Work Conditions

This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require background checks, a pre-placement medical and pre-placement drug and alcohol test prior to start date

This is a temporary full-time, unionized position for approximately one year however, will be based on business requirements

This is for a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Starting hourly rate for this role is $34.98 plus shift differentials

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, lifting and/or carrying up to 35lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 35 lbs, intermediate level of reading and writing, performing intermediate math calculations, effectively communicating with others, valid provincial drivers license, perceiving color differences, wearing personal protective equipment.
