Current Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification from a WorkSafeBC-approved training provider is required for this position.

Maan Farms is hiring experienced, safety-minded Traffic Control Persons for our busy fall season in Abbotsford. This is a direct seasonal employee position at one consistent location—not a subcontractor or company contract. You must already be certified and have practical roadside traffic-control experience.

Pay: CA$22.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated competence.

Location: 790 McKenzie Road, Abbotsford, BC — on site.

Job type: Seasonal, part time.

Schedule: Weekend daytime and evening shifts during the fall season, plus selected statutory holidays. Exact dates and hours agreed before hiring.

Start: As soon as credential verification, site orientation and required operational arrangements are complete.

What you will do

- Direct vehicles and assist pedestrians at assigned, authorized traffic-control stations.
- Follow the site-specific traffic control plan, STOP/SLOW signals and radio procedures.
- Help set up, inspect, cover and remove approved traffic-control devices under qualified supervision.
- Check your PPE, paddle, lighting and communication equipment before each shift.
- Coordinate with other TCPs and parking staff to keep access routes clear.
- Report changing conditions, unsafe behaviour and incidents promptly.
- Communicate calmly and professionally with drivers, guests and neighbours.
- Remain at your assigned station until properly relieved.





Required qualifications

- Current, verifiable TCP certification from BCCSA or another WorkSafeBC-approved training provider. Expired credentials do not meet this requirement.
- Practical roadside traffic-control experience and sound safety judgment. Evening or low-visibility experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand traffic-control plans, use correct signals and communicate clearly by radio.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the farm for agreed shifts. Driving is not a duty of this position.
- Ability to perform outdoor standing and walking duties in changing weather, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
- CSA Grade 1 safety footwear (green triangle) and suitable outdoor clothing.
