We are looking for an experienced and patient Accounting Tutor to provide one-on-one academic support to a first-year student at Huron University College (Western University).

The student is currently taking a university-level Accounting course and would benefit from additional support in understanding key concepts, reviewing course materials, completing practice problems, and preparing for quizzes, midterms, and exams.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one tutoring in first-year university Accounting
- Explain accounting concepts clearly and step-by-step
- Review lecture materials and help identify areas that need improvement
- Work through practice questions and problems
- Help prepare for quizzes, midterms, and final exams
- Help the student develop effective study and problem-solving strategies

Qualifications
- Robust background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- University-level Accounting knowledge required
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with Western University/Huron accounting courses is a strong asset
- Current Western/Ivey upper-year students,



graduate students, TAs, or accounting professionals are welcome to apply
- Patient, reliable, encouraging, and able to explain difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand way

Schedule

Part-time and flexible, approximately 1–2 sessions per week, with the possibility of additional sessions before exams.

Tutoring can be in person or online. Preference may be given to candidates who are familiar with the Western/Huron curriculum.
