Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead their distribution center team in Kimberley. This role is pivotal in ensuring the productive and accurate management of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, optimizing operational workflows, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in warehouse management, excellent leadership capabilities, and a commitment to driving productivity and maintaining high standards of inventory control and customer service within the logistics hub of Kimberley.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity goals are met.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations within the Kimberley facility.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment,
adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy.
- Train and mentor warehouse team members, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a warehouse team effectively.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
