Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying joint compound and finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of interior finishing projects, ensuring a polished and professional appearance for residential, commercial, or industrial spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in drywall finishing and related trades.

Duties

- Apply joint compound (also known as mud) to drywall seams, corners, and screw or nail holes to create a smooth surface ready for painting or other finishes
- Tape joints and embed drywall tape securely to prevent cracking or bubbling over time
- Sand finished surfaces to achieve a flawless, even texture that meets project specifications
- Caulk gaps around trim, baseboards, and other fixtures for a clean, finished look
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate application of drywall finishes
- Assist with related tasks such as basic carpentry, construction painting, or handyman repairs as needed




- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and handled

Requirements

- Proven experience in drywall finishing, taping, or related construction roles
- Knowledge of construction painting, carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Prior handyman experience or general construction experience is highly desirable
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights if necessary
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

Pay: $21.93-$30.00 per hour
