We are currently searching for a dynamic Dispatch Supervisor at our Montreal office. Reporting to the General Manager, Montreal Operations he / she will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the dispatch center located in Montreal, QC, serving Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes.

Tasks and responsibilities

- Act as the front-line supervisor for designated dispatch staff.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Montreal dispatch center, including the training and development of dispatchers.
- Provide operational backup to dispatchers during their weekly review of drivers’ road sheets and cover shifts during vacations, absences, or sick leave.
- Monitor and validate the accuracy of dispatcher entries within the computerized dispatch system (AS400).
- Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed in a timely, cost-productive manner while promoting the highest levels of customer satisfaction and on-time performance.
- Establish, monitor, and report on dispatch key performance indicators (KPIs).




- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all dispatch staff.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

- Post secondary diploma in a related discipline (logistics, administration, operations) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in inland transportation.
- Computer literate.
- Bilingualism (French and English).

Skills

- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Proven excellent management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with little direct supervision.
