We’re a family in the Beaches in Toronto looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for our son who was born in April 2025.

We’re looking for someone experienced, warm, reliable, and comfortable taking the lead during the day. Darrow is a happy and active little guy who loves books, walks, the playground, music, and exploring. We want someone who will genuinely enjoy spending time with him, getting out of the house, and helping him learn and develop as he gets older.

He is a great eater, and so we are looking for someone comfortable with letting him eat at his own pace. Sometimes this means putting his plate in the fridge and offering it to him at the next snack or meal time, sometimes this means getting more food for him as he finishes the entire plate.

The role is Monday to Friday, approximately 9:00–5:00, for 40 hours per week. The main focus is childcare: meals and snacks, naps, reading and play, walks and outings, local programs, and generally keeping Darrow’s day running smoothly.

We’d also appreciate help with things related to Darrow, such as his laundry, cleaning up after meals, tidying toys and the areas he uses, and some meal prep. We’re happy to include some light household tasks when there’s downtime,



but we’re not looking for a housekeeper or someone to do heavy cleaning.

We both work and are often working from home, but we want our nanny to feel comfortable running the day independently. We have a fairly established routine, but we’re not looking for someone to follow instructions minute by minute. Experience and good judgment are important to us, and we want our nanny and Darrow to develop their own comfortable routine together.

We live in a very walkable part of the Beaches with lots of parks, playgrounds, the boardwalk, library programs and other activities nearby. We’re also comfortable with trips on the TTC and playdates.

We also have a calm dog and a cat, so being comfortable around pets is important.

Most of all, we’re looking for someone dependable who really enjoys being with young children and who we can build a valuable long-term relationship with.
