We are looking for a reliable, organized, proactive, and warm House Manager / Family Assistant to help keep our busy family and household running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys creating an organized, welcoming home and takes pride in anticipating what needs to be done without needing to be asked. This person will become an important part of our household and will be responsible for a broad range of household responsibilities, with flexible childcare support for our two young children (ages 16 months and 3 years) as needed.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable taking ownership of household tasks, and has a natural ability to balance competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Household Management

- Oversee the day-to-day organization and functioning of the household
- Keep the home tidy, organized, and running efficiently
- Identify household needs and take initiative to address them
- Coordinate household errands, deliveries, appointments, and other tasks as needed
- Help maintain household supplies and keep grocery and household inventories organized

Meal Planning & Cooking

- Plan nutritious, family-friendly weekly meals
- Prepare and cook meals for the family
- Grocery shopping and meal-related errands
- Prepare lunches and snacks as needed
- Help accommodate family preferences and dietary requirements

Housekeeping & Laundry

- General housekeeping and maintaining a consistently clean and organized home
- Laundry for the family, including washing, drying, folding, and putting clothing away
- Changing linens and towels
- Keeping children’s rooms, play areas, and closets organized




- Seasonal clothing changes and organization for both children
- Identifying clothing and household items that need to be replaced, donated, or stored

Children

- Provide flexible childcare support for our two children, ages 16 months and 3 years
- Assist with getting children ready for the day and maintaining routines, as needed
- Help with meals, snacks, activities, and outings
- Provide occasional transportation for the children as needed
- Support the children’s spaces, clothing, and belongings so they remain organized
- The childcare component will vary depending on the family’s schedule and needs

Driving & Errands - not required, but would be an asset

- Transporting children to activities, appointments, school/daycare, or outings as needed
- Grocery shopping and other household errands
- A valid driver’s licence and safe driving record are preferred

Gardening - not required, but would be an asset

- A genuine interest in gardening would be a strong asset
- Help with basic seasonal gardening, watering, planting, weeding, and maintaining outdoor spaces
- Someone who enjoys spending time outdoors and taking pride in the home’s gardens is particularly welcome

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience as a family assistant, nanny, household manager, or similar role
- Experience caring for young children
- Strong cooking and meal-planning skills
- Comfortable managing laundry and household organization
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Gardening experience or interest is an asset
- References required
