develop and implement year-long learning plans and daily lesson plans for your assigned learners that are individualized, neuroaffirming, strength-based, evidence-based, technology-enhanced and linked to measurable learning goalsProvide formal and informal written progress reports, with or without the use of assistive technologyRequirements & CompetenciesSuccessful candidates for the instructor rolehave the ability to perform the above-listed principal roles and responsibilities with minimal to moderate support. This typically requires the following experience and competencies.For our in-school placement: Experience and comfort working and integrating into a faith-based Elementary School environment; experience in an independent school is an assetExperience working with school-aged children with diagnosed or suspected learning differencesExperience in strengths-based, neuroaffirming learning environments and/or a demonstrated eagerness and ability to quickly adapt to this type of environmentExperience as an Elementary-level generalist in math and literacy instruction for K-7Experience using structured, systematic, and explicit instructional approachesExperience teaching the following: literacy concepts using a structured literacy/Science of Reading approach, math focused on building conceptual understanding, and support for executive functioning, sensory processing, or social-emotional learning.Strong written and verbal communication skills,



with or without the use of assistive technologyExcellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindsetDemonstrated commitment to our charitable missionSelf-motivated and self-directedAbility to provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screeningEligibility to work in CanadaJob type and hours of work:Monday to Thursday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pmEmployee, paid hourly for instruction and preparation timeSchool follows the Jewish calendar, with some variation for professional development with Lightwell over March breakPosition is temporary from October 2026 to June 2027Start date: As soon as possible in October for the 2026-27 school year.
