Miramichi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPNA) PCN Location: Miramichi area (Horizon), Licensed Practical Nurse - Miramichi Area, New Brunswick - Permanent Part Time Location: 2 West - Medical Unit Job Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPNA) Job Classification Type: NBNU Job Type: Permanent Part Time FTE: 0.76 Schedule: Day, Night, Weekend, Rotation, Subject to change due to operational requirements Language Requirement: English Essential and spoken French (B1.2 / Intermediate +) Salary: 35.14 to 39.63 per hour JOB PURPOSE As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides quality patient care within the scope of professional nursing practice. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Active registration with ANBLPN Current BCLS certification Minimum 1 year recent and direct experience (within last 5 years) would be an asset depending on the department (for example: Mental Health, obstetrical, haemodialysis, medical/surgical, etc.). A combination of relevant work experience and related education training will be considered. Willing to participate in continuing education/certification programs (i.E. breastfeeding certification, non-violent crisis intervention, Periop 101, ASIST, cast application/removal, etc.) as outlined during orientation and onboarding within a defined timeframe. Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations and prioritize care. Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to relevant legislation. Good work and attendance record. Ability to perform the duties of the position.
