J.D. Irving, Ltd is seeking a results‐driven Key Account Manager to join our Lumber Sales team and lead strategic customer relationships within our Pine Group. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role combines hands‐on ownership of key accounts with people leadership and cross‐functional collaboration. While experience in lumber or forest products is considered an asset, we welcome candidates with strong B2B key account management experience from adjacent industries who bring a consultative mindset, commercial acumen, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, supply‐driven setting.ResponsibilitiesLead and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, accountable for revenue, margin, and long‐term relationship performanceDevelop and execute focused account plans aligned with customer needs, market conditions, and business objectivesOwn commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts, and volume commitmentsProvide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for two sales team membersPartner cross‐functionally with operations, supply planning, logistics,



and finance to ensure execution and service reliabilityAct as an escalation point for key customer issues and drive timely resolutionDeliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and performance updates to the General ManagerQualifications5+ years of experience in key account management, B2B sales, or commercial rolesExperience in lumber, hardwood products, forest products, or building materials is not required but is considered an asset.Proven success managing complex or strategic customer relationshipsExperience negotiating contracts and managing commercial agreementsStrong financial, analytical, and forecasting capabilitiesDemonstrated leadership or people‐management experience, or readiness to step into a leadership roleExcellent communication, relationship‐building, and problem‐solving skillsProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to travel within the assigned territory as required
