Please note, we are only looking to proceed with candidates who have part time WEEKEND availability and meet the scheduling requirements below.Scheduling RequirementsAvailable for 12-hour shifts on Saturdays AND Sundays (Full and Part-Time Positions available)MUST be available Saturday and Sunday; flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferredMUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable futureAvailable and willing to see multiple clients throughout the dayDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plansProvide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home)Prepare meals in accordance with the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine)Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs within the scope of practice for a Personal Support WorkerAssist clients in all activities of daily living / hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forthAssist clients with transfers,



ambulation and exercisesMeet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properlyFunction within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practice safely and competently within the job descriptionComplete records and documentation accurately and thoroughlyRequirementsMUST have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily workAbility to travel between assignments within designated areas of work; an asset if you can travel to rural/remote areasMust be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in EnglishPSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or international nursing/doctoral certificationNegative TB Test completed within the last yearValid CPR/First Aid CertificateValid WHMIS 2015 Certificate of CompletionCOVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario's Human Rights CodeImmunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria required; immunization for Hepatitis B strongly urgedValid Criminal Record Check completed within the last yearAbility to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when neededRequires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary teamCurrent/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an assetThe Care Company can make accommodations/modifications for individuals with disabilities during the hiring and onboarding process.
