Le Chocolatier is a Canadian‑owned chocolate company in Canmore, Alberta. We make our chocolates right here in Canmore and welcome visitors from around the world into our shop.

We’re looking for a Retail & Packaging Associate to join our team.

This is a hands‑on role combining chocolate packaging, order preparation, retail and customer service. You’ll work closely with our chocolate production and operations teams to ensure our chocolates are beautifully prepared, accurately packaged and ready for our customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Chocolate Packaging & Preparation

- Package and label chocolates for retail, wholesale and corporate orders
- Prepare chocolate bars, boxes, gift sets and seasonal collections
- Ensure products are packaged beautifully and consistently
- Check labels, dates, quantities and product presentation
- Maintain organized finished‑product inventory
- Rotate products appropriately
- Prepare large‑volume Christmas and corporate orders
- Assemble boxes, packaging and gift orders
- Help keep the packaging and fulfillment areas clean and organized

Order Fulfillment

- Pick and pack online orders accurately
- Prepare wholesale, hotel, Airbnb and corporate orders
- Prepare orders for shipping and local delivery
- Ensure orders are complete, carefully packed and presented to Le Chocolatier standards
- Assist with larger seasonal fulfillment projects

Retail & Customer Experience





- Welcome customers and provide warm, knowledgeable service
- Help customers choose chocolates, gifts and products
- Learn about our chocolates and confidently share that knowledge with customers
- Assist with chocolate tastings and visitor experiences
- Operate the POS and process transactions accurately
- Restock and merchandise the retail space
- Keep the shop clean, organized and inviting
- Help create the kind of memorable visitor experience that makes people want to come back

General Shop Support

- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Restock retail and operational supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop
- Support the team wherever needed during busy periods
- Follow food safety, sanitation and company procedures

THIS ISN’T JUST A PACKAGING JOB

You’ll be doing much more than putting chocolates into boxes. You’ll learn about our products, our production process, our customers and the business behind the chocolate. One day you might be helping a visitor choose chocolates to take home or acting as a local ambassador and sharing helpful hiking tips or recommendations. The next, you’ll be preparing a high‑end corporate order, packaging chocolates for Christmas or helping get online orders out the door. No two days are quite the same. You don’t need to know everything about chocolate when you start — we’ll teach you. What matters most is that you’re reliable, curious, hardworking and care about doing things well. We’re looking for someone who wants to contribute, learn and grow with us, not simply clock in and out.

HOURS

This is a year‑round part‑time position, approximately 15–25 hours per week. Additional hours will be available during our busiest periods, particularly November and December. Availability for weekends during Christmas season is an asset. We are looking for someone who is interested in continuing with us beyond the Christmas season.
