catch basins, manholes etc.)Work in confined spaces to setup sewer lasers, sewer bypasses, benching and parging manholesAble to work at all depths and understand all types of excavations such as open cut and shoring (trench boxes, aluminum shields, speed shoring, slide rails etc.)Work with heavy equipment operatorsSpotting of existing utilities via hand exposure during excavation and priorMaintain robust communication with the operator for the purpose of hand signals when approaching deep excavations, grading for pipe install and uncovering existing utilitiesMust be able to train other pipelayer helpersMust be able to work with various pipe sizes and material typesRequirements:Must be able to read blueprints1 year previous experience as a pipelayer, water, sanitary storm systemsBasic understanding of grades (elevation and slopes)Understanding of existing soil typesMust be legally eligible to work in CanadaIf not already, Pipelayers will be required to become members of IUOE Local 115Benefits:Comprehensive benefit + pension package to be provided by the IUOE Local 115Hourly Rate is as per the Union Agreement.
