Crown Lift Trucks Canada operates eight full‑service branches in both Ontario and Quebec offering complete service solutions including maintenance programs, parts supply, and training.Position SummaryAs a Human Resources Business Partner, you will serve as the primary HR advisor to multiple branch locations across the Central Region. This is a high‑impact, field‑facing role where you will partner closely with leaders to address employee relations, strengthen hiring outcomes, and build engaged, high‑performing teams. You will operate as a trusted advisor, balancing day‑to‑day HR support with proactive initiatives that drive retention, compliance, and leadership effectiveness. This role reports to the Human Resources Manager.Employee Relations & Leadership SupportAct as the first point of contact for managers on employee relations matters, providing guidance on performance, discipline, and conflict resolution.Partner with leaders to proactively identify risks and improve team engagement.Support investigations, documentation,
and resolution of workplace issues.Ensure consistent application of HR policies across branches.Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningPartner with recruitment to support full‑cycle hiring efforts across branches.Develop strategies to improve candidate quality, hiring speed, and retention.Participate in career fairs and local recruitment initiatives.Provide insight on local labour market trends and compensation.Training & DevelopmentDeliver and enhance onboarding and orientation programs.Coach managers on HR best practices, leadership behaviours, and people management.Support rollout of HR initiatives and training programs.Field Partnership & OperationsRegularly visit branch locations to build relationships and ensure HR compliance.Act as a visible HR presence within the business.Collaborate cross‑functionally with HR, legal, and leadership teams.Perform other related duties as required.Qualifications3 – 5 years of progressive HR experience (HRBP or HR Generalist).Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience.Must have valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.Frequent travel (6-20%).Occasional overnight stays (0-10%).Experience supporting employee relations and recruitment activities.Strong ability to influence and coach leaders.Proven relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.Knowledge of employment practices and labour market trends.Experience with ATS platforms (e.G., ADP, Indeed, or similar).CHRE, CHRL, or CHRP designation is an asset.Bilingual French & English is an asset.Experience in multi‑site or industrial environments is an asset.At Crown Lift Trucks, we believe in fairness and transparency.
