Maintenance TechnicianTomlinson's Materials Group is looking for skilled individuals to join the Maintenance Crew.Vacancy Type: NewLocation: Ottawa and other site locationsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Operating a torch and stick welderReplacing plant components such as bearings, idlers, pulleys, belts, and sheavesRepairing or replacing guardingRepairing or building walkways and stairwaysReplacing crusher and chute wear linersAligning equipment and installing bearing using specialized tools such as lasers, micrometers, and calipersTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic power unitsIdentify the root cause of failures and implement a thorough repair solutionAttention to detail and critical thinking are necessary for this positionUtilizing manual dexterity, problem solving skills and attention to detailREQUIREMENTS:Valid G driver licenseAbility to travel occasionally outside the Ottawa area to different site locationsCapable of operating a service truck as requiredAbility to work well with othersGeneral knowledge of processing plant equipmentAbility to work quickly, efficiently and in a secure mannerWORKING CONDITIONS:Work performed in an industrial aggregate and materials processing environment.Frequent exposure to dust, noise, vibration, moving equipment, and varying weather conditions.Regular climbing, lifting, bending,



kneeling, and working at heights.Use of welding, cutting, grinding, and other powered tools and equipment.Exposure to grease, oils, hydraulic fluids, and other industrial materials.COMPENSATION INFORMATION:The expected wage range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 per hour.
