These positions will work on a "Casual" basis between Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.M. to 4:30 p.M. through the school calendar. Salary will be paid hourly for time worked to a maximum of 35 hours per week.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide medical health services to students at the Pelican Falls First Nations High SchoolAssess medical needs of students, determine treatment plans, provide follow up supportRefer complex needs to physician or other health professional(s)Administer medications, provide first aid, assist in emergency situations etc.Maintain/update on-site clinic and confidential student medical recordsWork in collaboration and maintain communication with other daytime nursing supportMaintain a safe, clean, welcoming and positive environment at all timesPrepare evaluations and summaries of students including recommendationsDevelop or assist in developing treatment plans for studentsWork closely with PFFNHS,



PFC and On-Call staff to support students who are "at risk" or "in crisis"Ensure that daily or weekly check-ins with students are completed as requiredParticipate in team meetings as availableLiaise with other organizations, partners and/or professionalsRespond to parent, teacher and or student inquiriesOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is mandatoryMust be in valuable standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioCertified in CPR and First AidAbility to assess and provide health care needs to studentsKnowledge and understanding of Native culture, traditions and lifestylesExcellent leadership, motivation, and problem-solving skillsFluency in Oji-Cree, Cree or Ojibway is an assetStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work independentlyAble to work effectively and collaboratively with othersStrong communication skillsValid Class "G" Driver's LicenseSALARY:$40.25 to $49.50 per hour, dependant on experienceNNEC thanks all applicants in advance however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
