Project Manager - Expression of InterestProjects Full Time Burnaby, BC $75,000 - $95,000 CAD per yearAs a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of building science projects from inception to completion. You will use your project management expertise to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results while ensuring quality, safety, and budget adherence. You are the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline and will equip your teams with the tools to succeed and evolve through their participation in projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage building envelope projects through all phases of the project lifecycleDevelop and communicate project scopes and objectives with involvement from all relevant stakeholders while ensuring engineering standards and technical feasibility are adhered toSchedule third parties/vendors and internal resources for successful, and timely, execution of project tasksForecast workload and ensuring staff utilization is in line with company expectationsProvide weekly summaries on active projects to the operations manager and identify any issues, risks or roadblocksCommunicate with clients on a regular basisPresent technical material to strata councils - be the liaison between the client and engineersOversee the tendering administration and analysis including third parties and vendor relationship managementSupport the preparation and negotiation of building/development permit packagesHuman ResourcesConduct career planning and performance evaluations for direct reportsTeam motivation and managementDevelopment of detailed project plans and budgets to track performance and overall health of the projectMaintain project profitability and minimize write-offsSafetyBe an ambassador for safety on all projects assignedEnsure Hazard ID's are determined before any staff start work on a projectQualifications:Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application. We are not currently able to sponsor or provide work permits or visas for this position.Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution or demonstrated work experience in construction management considered an asset.Minimum 5 years of project management experience building envelope or related construction sectors considered an assetProficient in project management processes and best practices and use of project management softwareStrong interpersonal and client management skillsExperience with formal presentations for public audiencesAttention to detail and passion for qualityManaged teams of 2-5 personnelUnderstanding of CCDC contractsEligible for CAPM or PMP designationFamiliarity with building permit application processes across lower mainland municipalitiesIn compliance with the B.C.
