Hatch Charity Events, and more to develop your skillsJoin charitable, social, and sports activities with other Hatch employeesAs the successful candidate, you will:Contribute to baseline ecological or environmental studies, environmental assessments, environmental management strategies, and environmental plans including research, report writing, field work, and stakeholder and regulatory consultation.Collect and synthesize scientific literature, existing data sets and secondary source material for technical reports.Identify potential environmental impacts caused by land use changes and recommend suitable mitigation strategies to avoid and / or reduce potential impacts.Support permitting and approvals related to the natural environment (e.G.,Environmental Protection Act,Fisheries Act,Impact Assessment Act)Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing and emerging regulatory requirements, wildlife and vegetation assessment methodologies, and best practices.Coordinate work with other environmental specialists (e.G., noise, air, archaeology, heritage, fisheries, terrestrial ecologists, etc.)Deliver high-quality environmental services to agreed budgets and deadlinesYou bring to the role:A bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Planning, Geography, Ecological Restoration, Environmental Management & Assessment, Environmental Technician / Technologist, Natural Resources Technician, or similar0-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced, consulting environment; experience working in the field is an assetKnowledge of natural heritage policies, survey protocols, environmental legislation,
