This role is responsible for sourcing agricultural commodities and building strong vendor relationships while navigating grain markets and supply dynamics.Procure commodities for mill operations across Western CanadaManage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, while identifying and onboarding new vendorsSource and purchase agricultural products, including grains and agri-based commodities directly from farmsProcure animal by-products, including fats, oils, and meat & bone mealExecute and manage basis contracts in alignment with market conditionsMonitor and engage with the grain futures market to support purchasing decisions and risk managementEnsure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with business needsWho we're looking for3 to 4+ years of experience working as Buyer in agricultural commodity and experience in commodity- grain buying with farmsExperience in agri-business procurement, specifically grain buyingStrong understanding of commodity markets,
