This part time position starts in the 2026/2027 school year, with teaching days on Mondays and Fridays. Your expertise in singing, choir, recorder, percussion, and basic music theory will be pivotal. A background in Waldorf education is preferred, aiding you in adapting lessons for varying student abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Harmonics and Choir instruction to Grades 2-8
• Monitor and evaluate student development and progress
• Attend to parent meetings and communication needs
• Supervise recess activities (if applicable)
• Engage in additional school events beyond teaching hours
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Music or Education
• BC Teaching Certificate or capacity to qualify
• Understanding of Waldorf educational philosophy
• Proven experience in teaching music
• Strong skills in parent engagement and communication
