As an Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring live video feeds while based within our Operations Centre in Burnaby. The role requires quick decision-making and the ability to handle alarm events and incidents efficiently while maintaining professionalism. You should be comfortable working independently, and be confident and assertive to use verbal communication over a two-way radio to deter active crime.Location: This role is fully office-based in our Operations Centre in Burnaby.Shifts: We currently have 1 Part-Time Operator position open:PT: Fri & Sat 2359–0800Pay Rate: $25.00/ hourREQUIREMENTS:Minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a Security Officer and/or in a monitoring dispatch environmentExcellent situational awareness, judgement, and decision-making under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working independently in an Operations Centre environmentComfortable with using security monitoring platforms and technologyExperience with Immix GF is considered an assetAbility to notice and act on small details that could be crucial in preventing security breachesRESPONSIBILITES:Monitor live video feeds, alarms, and cameras across multiple client sitesIdentify and assess security-related incidents in real time; follow intervention andescalation protocolsUtilize the "talkdown" system to communicate and deescalate the potentially threatening situations, maintaining confidence and authorityAct quickly and decisively when handling alarm events,
