Position SummaryWhen disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on 'your side'. Asbestos and mould can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.(This posting reflects an existing vacancy)CompensationSalary Range: $23-$28/hourOvertime opportunities (where applicable)Extended health coverage (medical, dental, vision, etc.)Employee assistance program (EAP)Group RRSP, with company matching DPSPLife and disability insuranceOpportunities for advancement and internal mobilityWhat You'll DoEnsuring a safe work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work siteIdentifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materialsCross training into other areasWhat You BringAsbestos Level 2 Certification (we will check)Basic carpentry skills to build containmentAbility to perform work following procedure and legislationClean shaven face (if applicable) for every shift (for full mask fit)Willingness to wear full PPE as required for duration of shiftCleanliness of site, vehicle, and toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of workOrganized with a valuable sense of time- you're rarely late and know where all your tools arePhysically fit- remediation can,
