Our client is recruiting for an experienced Civil Draftperson Technologist who is interested in pursuing their P.Eng., to join their land development team, specializing in residential and commercial subdivision design.NOTE:Remote work availableMust be willing and able to work in the Windsor, Essex county area a few days per week or as needed for onsite client work/meetingsRESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the design of residential and mixed-use subdivision layouts including lot grading, road networks, and phasing plansPrepare and review plan and profile drawings, grading plans, and servicing drawings for municipal approvalCoordinate with planners, landscape architects, and surveyors throughout all project stagesDevelop detailed grading and drainage designs for subdivisions, ensuring compliance with municipal standards and watershed requirementsPerform stormwater management calculations and design SWM facilities (ponds, bioretention, infiltration)Prepare earthwork quantity estimates and cut/fill analysesDesign underground municipal servicing including sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer systemsPrepare servicing reports and support submission of development engineering approvalsCoordinate utility conflicts and ensure constructabilityBuild and manage Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, and corridors for road and subdivision designCreate corridor models for road reconstruction, subdivision roads, and grading tie-insProduce construction drawing sets directly from Civil 3D model dataLiaise with municipalities, approval agencies,



and utility companiesRespond to agency review comments and revise drawings accordinglySupport construction administration including site reviews and field questionsREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering3-7 years of experience in land development / subdivision designAdvanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, grading) (or Bentley Software)Solid understanding of municipal servicing standards and grading principlesFamiliarity with local land development approval processesDetail-oriented with robust spatial reasoningAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyEffective communicator with clients, contractors, and municipal staffCollaborative team player who can also work independentlyPREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of stormwater modeling software (PCSWMM, or similar)Experience preparing subdivision agreement schedules and cost estimatesStrong AutoCAD drafting background as a foundationCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:$30.00 - $50.00 /hour (depending on experience)Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) - extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)MEDA Limited is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of any of the protected reasons as described in the Ontario Human Rights Code.
