The role can be located in Edmonton, Alberta or the Niagara region of Ontario. The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program. This includes maintaining and continuously improving quality systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and developing a high-performing inspection team. The role is critical to ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction, particularly in the fabrication of pressure vessels and related equipment.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and enforce company Quality Assurance and Quality Control ManualsEnsure compliance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements including: ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2; ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.9, B51; API 620, 650, 653;CSA W47.1, W59; Jurisdictional Code & Safety standardsOversee the development, maintenance, and application of welding procedures and welder qualificationsEnsure all inspection and test records meet customer and code requirementsLead, mentor, and manage the Quality Control Inspection teamProvide tools, training, and directions to support effective inspection practicesPromote a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement within the teamCoordinate internal audits and drive corrective actions from audit findingDevelop and implement quality KPIs to monitor performance and drive improvementsLead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to defects, rework,



or test failuresSupport Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across operationsWork cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement to embed quality into all processesAssist the engineering and project management teams with QA-related project execution and warranty resolutionSupport supplier qualification and evaluation processesMaintain up-to-date records of supplier certifications, welder qualifications, and code stampsExperience, Qualifications & Attributes5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Control in an onsite field construction setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of API 650 tanks and steam generators, and its applicable codes (ASME, CSA, API)Previous experience as a quality inspector in tank or boilers construction, installation, maintenance and repair, and is requiredProven ability to lead and develop teams in a high-paced industrial settingFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies, an assetStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skillsCompetence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and deliver under pressureExperience interfacing with client inspectors and regulatory authoritiesWe thank all interested parties but only those selected will be contacted to move forward.
