We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Biology Teacher to join our team.

Position Overview The After-School High School Biology Teacher will provide academic support to students in Grades 9–12, with a particular focus on senior-level Biology courses.

The ideal candidate will help students strengthen their understanding of biological concepts, improve their school performance, prepare for tests and exams, and develop strong scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide in-person after-school Biology instruction and tutoring for high school students.
- Support students with school coursework, assignments, labs, tests, and exam preparation.
- Explain complex Biology concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials based on individual student needs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop appropriate learning strategies.
- Help students strengthen scientific reasoning, analytical, and study skills.
- Create a positive,



engaging, and motivating learning environment.
- Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student progress when required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario high school Biology curriculum.
- Experience teaching senior-level Biology, including SBI3U and SBI4U, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of topics such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, biochemistry, molecular biology, human systems, and ecology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, responsible, organized, and student-focused.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic backgrounds.
