Position Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Abbotsford. In this hands-on role, you’ll deliver top-notch service to our agricultural / livestock customers. You’ll be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of electrical, mechanical, and computerized farm systems.

You will work with equipment such as motors, fans, winches, actuators, and automated egg collection and packaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

This is not an Apprenticeship Program

· Install, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical systems in agricultural environments

· Perform equipment testing and commissioning on new and used installations

· Coordinate with the office to complete scheduled service calls efficiently

· Complete daily paperwork and service documentation accurately and on time

· Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends

· Provide excellent customer support by explaining service work, providing product maintenance advice, and offering solutions to recurring issues

Qualifications & Skills

· Valid BC Drivers License and clean driving abstract

· Electrical experience is an asset





· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics

· Knowledge of agricultural processes and equipment

· Excellent communication skills to work with customers, subcontractors, and coworkers within a team environment

· Be willing to learn from on-the-job training, and through studying manuals

· Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.

· Excellent problem solving/trouble shooting, critical thinking to take charge in situations

· Be organized and a self starter, keep track of parts used at each job and write out work orders

· Ability to adapt to a changing work setting and day to day customer needs

· Physically able to perform work that may require lifting (50+lbs), climbing, and extended hours

· Willingness to participate in on-call scheduling

Long term position

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
